Why have a StealthBoXz ?
With this new design of enclosure, the StealthBoXz is a unique cabinet design for maximizing dispersion. Basically, the contoured shape is supposed to 'get out of the way' of the wave and allow the subwoofer to spread its sound better.

The unusual StealthBoXz shape also reduces tonal colorations and as most audiophiles know, a subwoofer produces sound by causing the surrounding air to vibrate (also known as resonance), whereas the StealthBoXz's non-parallel sides minimise resonance dramatically.

In a conventional enclosure design, resonance's are usually controlled by bracing the interior of the box, or thickening the walls and adding damping materials, making it heavy and adding mass, which in turn has to enlarge the box size, by contrast, the StealthBoXz not only eliminates internal standing waves, but due to it's ultra-light construction, reduces weight and most importantly SPACE. The StealthBoXz GRP enclosure provides, by far, the lowest diffraction and absolute elimination of resonance-generating internal standing waves.
What is the StealthBoXz made from ?
The StealthBoXz is individually hand crafted and it's construction is of glass reinforced plastic composite (GRP) with a black pigmented surface gelcoat, there are 4 layers of 1.5 oz chopped strand matt and 1 layer of core matt over any flat area's.The front speaker baffle is CNC machined from 18mm MDF for mounting the subwoofer. Wadding lines the inside of the StealthBoXz and comes complete with a gold speaker binding post with a wire for connection to the subwoofer.
Is the StealthBoXz Sealed or Ported ?
All StealthBoXz's are a sealed enclosure.
Does the StealthBoXz come supplied with a subwoofer ?
No, the StealthBoXz is supplied without any subwoofers, so you can put the subwoofer of your choice into it, as long as the subwoofer is efficient to run in the given volume of the StealthBoXz.
How does the StealthBoXz Fit in The Vehicle ?
The StealthBoXz fit is self fitting, it moulds exactly to the contours of the wheelarch aperture, Velcro strips makes sure there is no movement and makes the StealthBoXz easily removable.
Will the StealthBoXz carpet match my interior exsisting boot colour?
In most cases yes, we offer many shades of grey but we cannot overcome any fading that may occur on some older vehicle interiors due to sunlight or age.
Why don't I just use a conventional Boom Box ?
There is no denying that there's no substitute for size (said the actress to the bishop !) but the StealthBoXz offers practical space for the golf clubs, shopping or even the baby buggy, and due to it's unique contoured shape, where there are no parallel sides to cancel out any 'standing waves' internally, the Bass response is outstanding for a smaller enclosure, most modern branded subwoofers today are using smaller enclosures with maximum output, which makes the StealthBoXz an all round perfect subwoofer enclosure.
Can I remove the StealthBoXz when I sell the car?
Yes, all of our StealthBoXz's can be simply lifted out, the Velcro will stick fast but give it a tug and away it comes.
Is a GRP composite StealthBoXz heavy duty enough for subwoofers ?
Yes, due to the actual contoured construction of the StealthBoXz, the sides of the enclosure are very strong as they are layered and once the enclosure is in place there is no flexible movement on any of the larger panels.
Will the StealthBoXz take a subwoofer with a large magnet depth ?
We aim to compromise size with performance, this means that most StealthBoXz's will take the largest magnet depth on the market at time of manufacture, we strive to keep the StealthBoXz 'Stealth', meaning blended and not obtrusive and at the same time try to maximise depth wherever possible, it will not always be possible to have that 15" woofer in a StealthBoXz because it would be too large and unpractical to fit any aperture. Spacer rings are available if your sub needs that little bit more !
Can I fit two Subwoofers into a StealthBoXz ?
Generally No, we are only developing single StealthBoXz's, one for each side of the boot, we will make special one off's if requested, in some vehicles it is possible to mount two 8" or 10" subwoofers.
Can I have a StealthBoXz both sides of the boot ?
Yes, we always develop nearside and offside StealthBoXz's for every model wherever possible to do so.
Could an Amplifier be mounted in a StealthBoXz for either side of the boot ?
Yes, providing the amplifier dimensions are compatible with the area of the front panel of the StealthBoXz. Usually every boot has a larger aperture on one side than the other, the preferable side (largest) can be used for the subwoofer mounting and the opposite side can be used to mount an amplifier as the depth is not so important. The amplifier can be mounted flush to the front of the StealthBoXz making a neat and tidy made to measure install that looks like it came from the factory.
