Speaker Wadding is used for lining the interior walls of subwoofer enclosures, each speaker in an enclosure that is filled with a good measure of wadding will stop any cabinet reaction with the speaker itself, it helps prevent unwanted internal midrange frequencies from reflecting through the cone material.
